Why we’re needed
Accessible and authoritative information on the lives and work of Canadian visual artists is hard to find. There is no central digital resource to tell the world where Canada’s most important works of art are located. There is no contemporary book series on the country’s most significant artists. The ACI fills this gap by generating content for digital media as well as books, symposia, workshops, and documentaries. By functioning as an online art museum, a digital library, and an interactive Canadian art encyclopedia, the ACI is becoming an indispensable resource on Canada’s visual heritage.
