Carr and Burtynsky In Dialogue

Kelowna Gallery pairs works by Carr and Burtynsky in new west coast exhibition

An exhibition of works from the Vancouver Art Gallery’s permanent collection places Emily Carr’s paintings in conversation with Edward Burtynsky’s photographs to explore both artists’ depictions of changing natural and industrial landscapes. A Terrible Beauty: Edward Burtynsky in Dialogue with Emily Carr is curated by Bruce Grenville at The Kelowna Art Gallery. You can learn more about Carr’s influence by reading the ACI's latest title Emily Carr: Life & Work by Lisa Baldissera, launching February 18, 2015.
