Teacher Resource Guide
Regional Heritage through explorations of historical and contemporary art in Regina
Grades 9–12
The birthplace of the Regina Five and the Regina Clay movement, and home to some of the most important Indigenous artists working in Canada today, Regina is a modest yet mighty centre for art shaped by a spirit of place, history, and collective action. Exploring treaty relationships as well as the works of artist groups such as the Regina Five and Sâkêwêwak First Nations Artists’ Collective, this guide encourages students to imagine how collaboration can help bring about meaningful change in their communities.
