L’œuvre de Yousuf Karsh est conservée dans d’importantes archives réparties entre trois institutions. Plusieurs grandes institutions possèdent des collections d’une sélection de ses portraits et, depuis sa mort en 2002, son œuvre continue de susciter l’intérêt du public grâce à d’importantes expositions itinérantes. Tout au long de sa carrière, Karsh a produit de nombreuses éditions de luxe accompagnées de notes biographiques et de souvenirs personnels. Son autobiographie de 1962, In Search of Greatness, établit le récit de sa formation en tant que photographe, de son ascension vers la renommée internationale et de ses anecdotes sur les personnalités qu’il a photographiées.

Il inclut également des documents professionnels, des projets d’édition, des coupures de magazines, de la correspondance personnelle, des albums-souvenirs, des prix et distinctions, ainsi que des entrevues enregistrées.
