“Passion Over Reason” opens at the McMichael

New exhibit focusses on Joyce Wieland and Tom Thomson

A new exhibition at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection entitled Passion Over Reason: Tom Thomson & Joyce Wieland pays tribute to two groundbreaking Canadian artists. The exhibition explores Wieland’s unique representation of Canadian nationalism through gender and sexuality in conversation with Thomson’s traditionally masculine and virile image.
